about the news

that was entertaining.

i took the movies back...and if they say they were late i am going to be really argumentative. i am practicing for the trip to the bank. getting psyched up.

when i returned home after delivering previously stated movies to the movie rental chain store, there was an emer sitting on the couch. taking a mid-day break. so we chatted and smoked and visited because she will not be joining us this evening. she will be going to see the mavs play.

and then i ventured online to possibly send an email (or just think about how i never seem to know what to say)...and ended up here, with even less to say...

and saw andrew's message about the servers being overloaded.

and all in all, that was quite amusing.

i still have nothing of real importance to say...but here is what i got.

in the way of current events:

this whole business with peter arnett pisses me off and geraldo got what his annoying ass deserved. one of them stated what appears to be the obvious. - obviously we underestimated the tenacity of the opponent. - obviously we are saddened by civilian casualties. and the other gives away location information. okay.

what pisses me off? censorship. that the news in other countries...canada, mexico, and even the uk is different.

that we are banning musicians, actors, and now...reporters (?) for ... what?

don't say "the troops". give me a break. they aren't thinking about that. they have other things on their minds. besides, they aren't exactly watching the news. so if it isn't about them...what is it?

a nation's integrity? pride? right? the stock market?

or is it so you sleep better at night?

so prime time tv isn't bombarded with war coverage?

i am just curious. see...sometimes i venture to vote.com just to check on the vote of the day and see where the general pouplation stands. yeah, that was a link. maybe you caught it.

also...affirmative action at the supreme court. that would be quite big news i think. no? should race be considered in college admissions and if it should, then when? that is pretty damn big.

then there is the plane quarantine in california. okay...they have been talking about sars for weeks. who and the cdc have issued alerts. the news today is saying it is more contagious than they first thought. hmmm. yesterday the cdc openly stated it was more contagious than ebola and probably came from an animal.

all of this because someone mentioned i seemed to live under a rock.

that about sums it up.

i am going to do yard work...in the gale.

but before i do that...smoke break, anyone?

how is your day?

...previously... ~ ...next...
