in the last 48 hours i have learned a lot about refrigerators.

i have taken ours apart three times.

all in a half mad attempt to not have to spend money to get it fixed...because there is no more unemployment and there is still no job.

and i don't even have rent for november, much less money to spend fixing a damn whirlpool fridge that was made in 87.

so my day and night were crap.

i got nothing of what i expected...and everything that wasn't expected. and i am spent and pissed...and drinking a warm coke...knowing that i have to get up for a service call. yet i know i don't have any money to pay the guy with...*holding head*

and i am seriously considering fucking the fridge altogether...and just going home this weekend before i kill someone.

i think maybe the ketchup and jelly will still be good.

i got my knuckles quite a bit in all of my dismantling. i ought to go soak them because they are burning.

i did it again...

was sitting here typing, looking at my knuckles and next thing i know i am in the kitchen with a driver set...in search of the 'defrost timer'. which was finally found and turned 1/4 of a turn with a flat-head screwdriver.

the evaporator coils have just enough frost on them to signal a system problem...but the whole thing was flushed and irrigated, the condensor coils were cleaned and the drain cup was emptied...so unless there is a refrigerant leak or the compressor is fucked...i give up.

i don't have an ohm meter...

and if i did...

well yeah.
