i'm back - got nothing to say here as of yet about the trip.

i love my parents a great deal. and i hope my mom has a great year!!

now as for the trip back here....wow. i could say a lot. like how i almost had enough lumber to build my mom a new roof. of course, i would have had to gather it up off of I-45...but hey, free wood!... i was trailing a black lincoln navigator and we were crusing up 45 enjoying the clouds and sporadic sprinkles.... when all of a sudden i saw a cloud of dust up ahead of us in the southbound lane. being leary of cross-over accidents i started to slow way down. the navigator and i both came to a stop way off on the right shoulder in between orange construction barrels... and right in front of us (five feet or so) many dozen very long pieces of wood were flying across the grass center and the two north bound lanes from a semi south bound that lost a big part of it's load. because we were right there when it happened we (myself and the navigator) both managed to weave through the barrels and find a safe way to get back out on the road. i have no idea how it happened or how long it took them to clear it. i sure hope no one behind us hit it.

i also saw a vanity plate that read "AMMO" - maybe it's an acronym for something? only in texas.

i took the quiz muse had taken...we seem to be the same.

Take the quiz: "Which European region are you most like? (pics)"

Crete: Greece
Ancient Europe is still beating in your land and the bluest Mediterranean sea brights in your beaches... youre calm, deep and become wild when the night comes

i am going to go sleep on the couch now.

...previously... ~ ...next...
