today was very different.

than a very similar day.

the need for rushing.

the plans changing.

fighting traffic to the airport.

dropping her off with a hasty good-bye.

all of it...

very much like days past.

except this time...

it felt different.

the air was the same. the windows were down. the radio was on. nothing in me felt the same.

the most dramatic change...a complete lack of fear.

granted, i was terrified of traffic and people and cars and the usual "my flavor of crazy" stuff...

but even spinning on a dime, there was a steadiness.

i hope she has a good trip.

i am off to kill freaky gentically mutated human things that spew green shit at you. between this and bribing gravity with bon-bons and weapons of mass destruction to stick around i am a very busy woman.

i have decided to not only exchange the dvd-rw but to probably just buy a second hard drive rather than go through the process of transferring this much data at one time via the pricey medium. just doesn't make good sense. now is the only time you will find me regretting that i have 120 gig hd. because i have to back it up.
