talon has been sick...she is better.

rachael has been kind enough to lend me her advice and shannon was kind enough to hold her down while i irrigated...

and just to seal the deal, pj lost part of the fur on the end of his tail when he accidentally got too close to a burning candle and went up in a poof of flame. reacting immediately and fearlessly, hester grabbed and swooped upwards, thereby extinguishing the flames. pj is resting comfortably, having been groomed and soothed. *he actually had no idea what happened to him...he never saw or knew that he was on fire* hester is quick...we are all lucky to have a friend like her. would be luckier if we had tails, but that is my own private dream. eh?! whatever.

and that was my weekend.

this week i won't be around here much. can't seem to find the time yet, but soon...very soon. i will vent between calls i am sure. i also guess i will be working 10 days in a row...depending on when my schedule starts.

but i am good. so very good. all that i remember that i was...and it is a place to start.

i am most pleased by the smallest of things. you have no idea.

when you know by memory the feel, the darkness, the smell of the tunnels of your own private and worst emotions...

you rejoice in the light...any light...

(sit down holy rollers, i am not talking about church)

that is the balance in my life...the only balance.

envious and somewhat disillusioned when i read things now and things written a century ago. how much more detailed and fluent people were when they were writing...in correspondence, even.

how shorthand is actually a skill...

we can do better than that. i should think.

i am going to bed now, better things there than here. i will sleep good tonight. hope you do too.
